Parking Information
The first networking session will take place from 1:00pm – 4:00pm on Tuesday, April 2nd. It is recommended that you arrive to Old Dominion Ballroom at least 45 minutes prior to the event to set up your designated table.
Parking Instructions
Each company will be provided one parking pass that can be used at any lot on campus as long as it is NOT a 24hr F/S or metered spot. These passes will also include general parking instructions and a visitor’s guide. The closest lot to Old Dominion Ballroom is Squires Parking Lot which is located on Otey St. (shown on map below).
You may also use the Blacksburg Transit system to arrive on Alumni Mall which is the street located along side of Squires Student Center. See link for bus routes: https://ridebt.org/.
There will also be a shuttle service that will run from the hotels to Squires Student Center. The schedule is shown below.
Tuesday:
Shuttles to Squires Student Center from Hyatt Hotel: 12:00pm – 3:30pm
Shuttles back to Hyatt Hotels: 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Wednesday:
Shuttles to Squires Student Center: 7:45am – 9:00am
*Hyatt Hotel and Marriott Residence Inn are directly next to each other.
Unloading Instructions
Once you have found parking and have arrived at Squires Student Center, you will be greeted by volunteers and shown to the check-in booth for nametags. From there, volunteers will assist in transporting any materials from your car to your networking table.
Booth Setup Instructions
The networking session on Tuesday will be held from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Each table/booth will be labeled with a number so please refer to the figure below to find your company’s corresponding number. There will be volunteers floating around to help set up your table as well as answer any questions you may have.
Once the first networking session is over, the tables will be stowed away for the next day.
On Wednesday, you will be assisted in setting up your table again for the networking session from 3:00pm – 5:30pm.
